Group Training Classes
-
Booking and payment in advance is needed to secure a place on any course. Places are limited to allow for appropriate dog to trainer ratio. Payments for lessons are non-transferable and non-refundable.
-
Refunds cannot be given once the course has commenced. Payment for classes is for the stated number of consecutive weeks, non attendance will result in the loss of that week’s fee.
-
Unless the class is cancelled by us. If that is the case payment for the cancelled lesson will be refunded at the end of the course if a date cannot be rearranged by Wise K9 Dog Training.
-
Please notify us if you will miss any classes.

-
If you are unsure if your dog will be suitable for classes and have not made contact with us to discuss and assess your dog before your attendance you will not be refunded if your dog is not suitable for the class which you have booked.
-
If we agree your dog can attend class but the dog is not suited to the class environment we will offer you a 121 session and the costs will be outlined to yourself which will need to be paid in advance of additional services.
-
Please make sure all puppies and dogs have been allowed a toilet break before class, so they enter the environment comfortable and empty.
-
Always clear up after your dog.
-
When arriving at class, avoid meeting the other dogs on lead. Not all dogs are sociable and being in a new environment may react as a consequence.
-
Do not let dogs off lead or drop leads unless instructed to do so by the trainer.
-
The client (you) are solely responsible for their dog’s behaviour.
-
It may be beneficial to exercise dogs before class with a short walk. Do not over exercise dogs before class, otherwise they will be too tired and aren’t likely to want to work. It is also a good idea to bring a kong or other food dispensing toy to class to amuse dogs while things are being discussed, preventing frustration such as barking and instead promoting calmness..
-
Consideration of other clients is paramount, both you and your dog are here to learn and have fun! Please switch off / turn mobile phones on silent when in class.
-
Please do not take phone calls while in class.
-
We may occasionally record videos and take photos in class or on 121 sessions. Please make us aware if you are not comfortable with that if you do not wish to appear on social media.
-
Information given during any session is believed to be true and accurate at the date which it is delivered, however we will not take responsibility for any misinterpretation of this advice.
-
We do encourage other family members to get involved in training (this includes children and spouse) and attend classes / 121s. However, this must be checked with the trainer beforehand, if there will be more than two individuals attending with any one dog.
-
Children under the age of 16 have to be accompanied by an adult.
-
Children must behave appropriately with no running, shouting, petting or distracting other dogs.
-
Young children can struggle in the training environment becoming easily bored. It can also be challenging to supervise children and train the dog. If you bring any technology such as tablets or mobile phones to class to keep children amused please make sure they are on silent.
Cancellations or Rescheduling
-
Refunds will not be given once the course (group classes or 121s) has commenced.
-
Any cancellations must be given 24 hours before the class or 121 session.
-
No refunds are given for non-attendance to the course and the cost of your 121 session or class fee is forfeited for that session.
-
Insufficient numbers booked on any course may cause a class to be cancelled. You will be notified of future course dates or offered a private session. If this is not possible a full refund will be given.
-
Wise K9 Dog Training reserves the right to change any appointment at any time (e.g. snow, rain, heat etc). Measures will be taken to adapt plans where possible, if this is not feasible, we will, where possible, always rearrange the appointment.
-
If you need to reschedule a 121 session, please do so as early as possible, Wise K9 will try and be flexible with rescheduling, however, rescheduling can only be completed once for a series of sessions booked.
Health and Safety
-
Dog’s health and wellbeing is paramount to us.
-

-
Any dogs with sickness bugs must be well for 48hrs prior to coming to group or 121 sessions.

-

-
You are welcome to attend class without your dog should they fall ill or become injured to keep up to date with the training process.
-
No refund will be offered to owners whose dogs fall ill during the course.
-
Should your bitch come into session, then sadly they will not be able to attend group classes. This is due to the effect it will have on the other dogs present as well as the bitch possibly feeling insecure around a group of other dogs or finding learning challenging at this time.
-
No refund can be given, however we may be able to defer to a different class if possible. This is treated on an individual basis.
-
You know your dog best, so if an exercise is not right for you or your dog, please make the trainer aware and we will adapt accordingly.
-
Wise K9 Dog Training, accepts no responsibility for injury, illness, loss, damage or accident to you, your dog, spectator, other persons or property.
-
Dog training can be a physical activity and handlers are reminded to take due care and attention to their and others safety.
-
Handlers are responsible for their dog’s actions and behaviour at all times.
-
Wise K9 Dog Training, makes every effort to provide a safe and secure environment for training in.

We will not take responsibility for any loss, damage or injury to any animals or persons who attend training classes or any other service we provide.
Start and Finish Times
-
It is important you attend sessions on time.
-
Ensuring you give your dog time to settle into the environment.
-
Dogs entering group classes late causes disruption to other dogs.
-
If you are running late please inform the trainer asap, late attendance may result in you forfeiting your 121 or group class (this will be decided by the trainer on a case-by-case basis).
